Administration is the backbone of Sonoma Public Infrastructure and is responsible for managing the essential day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring that every aspect of the department runs smoothly and efficiently. Their expertise and coordination are key to supporting the larger mission of delivering impactful infrastructure projects that directly benefit the public.

Veterans Memorial Buildings Advisory Committee

The Veterans Memorial Buildings Advisory Committee meets quarterly to review the maintenance, repairs, and overall upkeep of Veterans Memorial Halls throughout the County. These meetings provide an opportunity to discuss facility needs, prioritize projects, and ensure that the halls remain safe, functional, and welcoming spaces for veterans and the community. The Committee’s efforts help preserve these important local landmarks and support the services they provide.

Renting a Facility

The Public Infrastructure Administration team also oversees and manages the rental of seven county facilities, including six Veterans Memorial Buildings located throughout the County and the Sebastopol Center for the Arts. The buildings have been serving residents of Sonoma County since their construction following World War II. For questions or rental inquiries, please contact us at spi-halls@sonomacounty.gov.

Holiday Rates

Holiday rates are an additional 50% of the base rent. Holiday rates apply to News Year's Day, Lincoln's Birthday, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Parking Rates

Private Security Requirements for Events

Security may be required based on event size, type, and whether alcohol will be served. When private security is required for events at County facilities:

• The County of Sonoma coordinates with local law enforcement to ensure safe operations.
• All security arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the facility user.
• Security must be arranged at least 30 days in advance through a State of California-licensed security agency.
• Event organizers must meet with County Building staff and their chosen security provider in advance to develop a security plan.
• Final security contract is required at least 30 days before the event date.
