Cloverdale

On July 24, 2019 the Cloverdale City Council Adopted Ordinance No. 730-2020, an Ordinance of the City of Cloverdale Amending Title 18, "Zoning," of the Cloverdale Municipal Code, Adding Chapter 18.15, "Cannabis," to allow and regulate commercial cannabis uses and regulating the personal cultivation of medical and nonmedical cannabis.

Cotati

Cotati's ordinance allows a variety of commercial uses with number and size limitations.

Healdsburg

The City of Healdsburg recently updated the Healdsburg Municipal Code (HMC) to allow for commercial cannabis use in the community.

Petaluma

In 2018, Petaluma City Council adopted an ordinance regulating commercial cannabis activity within Petaluma’s city limits. In June of 2024, Petaluma City Council adopted a new cannabis ordinance that expanded Petaluma's code to add storefront cannabis retailers to some zones.

Rohnert Park

Currently, commercial cannabis activities are prohibited within Rohnert Park city limits.

Santa Rosa

On December 19, 2017, the City Council unanimously adopted the City’s Comprehensive Cannabis Ordinance.  The regulations address the locational and operational requirements for personal cannabis cultivation and commercial cannabis businesses, identifying the permit compliance path for both medical and adult use activities.

Sebastopol

In 2023, the City of Sebastopol adopted an updated cananbis ordinance.

Sonoma

In June 2019, the Sonoma City Council adopted Ordinances adding Chapter 5.36 to the Sonoma Municipal Code permitting and regulating commercial cannabis businesses.

Windsor

Currently, commercial cannabis activities are not allowed in the Town of Windsor town limits.
